Choeng Mon Beach - Chong Mon

Choeng Mon is located at the far northeast region of the island, and comprises of many lovely and isolated bays with some of the excellent hotels in Koh Samui. The Choeng Mon projects out from the remainder of the island and the main road chalks out a more direct path through the island, thus providing silence to the beaches. This region is popular amongst families, and those wanting to relax but does not have the nightlife seen on other beaches. A large part of the area is covered by private homes, but still there are many accommodation choices, although they are more upmarket.
The main Choeng Mon Beach is the loveliest one in Samui, and although most people simply come here to relax, there are lots of water sport alternatives for more active tourists. Right off the coast is the small island of Ko Fan Yai, which can be accessed by foot when the tide is low, and also by kayak, making it an enjoyable activity.
You won’t find any actual village here, and many people opt to eat at their accommodation. However there are some restaurants, located a few kilometers from the beach, near Choeng Mon Buri Hotel.
